5 ways to cope with stress for working students

As a rule, people engaged in entrepreneurship, take on too many tasks. Naturally, such a load reduces the performance of labor, because a person has a huge burden of responsibility, keeps in his head a long list of upcoming cases. All this leads to a deterioration of the physical and mental condition. For example, when you’re trying to combine work and study, you should understand that it’s not easy. Some students, for example, buy coursework online instead of doing it because they just don’t have enough time for it.

Involve assistants, do not hesitate to shift some responsibilities to them:

  • bookkeeping;
  • working with clients;
  • organizing advertising.

If you distribute tasks correctly, the involvement of assistants will change the dynamics of professional activity positively.

Make a clear distinction between work and rest

With chronic fatigue, the human body loses the work capacity, its productivity drops dramatically. Therefore, it is necessary to draw clear boundaries between the time for work, rest, and sleep. To increase productivity, you need to take short rest breaks during the working day.

When a person is not getting enough sleep, it 100% affects his performance, there is a huge number of problems, which provokes chronic stress. To be able to sleep properly, do not sit up at work until the last moment. Before going to bed, try to tune in to a positive wave: listen to your favorite soft music, meditate, do relaxing breathing exercises.

The minimum duration of sleep should be eight hours, then the body will function fully, productivity will be maintained throughout the working day. In exceptional cases, sleep at least six hours, and be sure to turn off your smartphone at night or put it on silent mode.

Eliminate external stimuli

During the day, business people receive endless streams of emails, SMS, messages from messengers, phone calls. Often it is irritating, distracting from work. Make a personal plan and respond to distractions according to certain criteria. For example, answer emails in order of importance of messages, deal with messages during specifically designated hours. A great option is to use special apps to sort emails.

Don’t be too receptive

Listen to yourself; don’t think about what others think of you. If you’re constantly thinking about how you’re evaluated by others, it will be impossible to concentrate on the work process. Taking everything to heart will make you upset over small things, and constant negative thoughts will lead to a stressful situation. Concentrate on your work without thinking about the opinions of others, and this is sure to lead to excellent results.

Prioritize properly

To perform tasks as efficiently as possible, refer to sorting them according to the Eisenhower matrix:

The most important and urgent tasks come first. These are the tasks that do not tolerate delays: equipment failure, workplace emergencies, resolving conflicts, eliminating urgent problems with the customer, the current change in product prices.

Next come tasks that are important, but not urgent. These are the development of marketing campaigns, new projects, the conclusion of contracts with new customers, analysis and evaluation of current activities.

Then there are urgent but not important tasks: answering phone calls and messages, meetings, processing of current orders.

And in last place – tasks not urgent and unimportant. These are daily routine work, small tasks, development of long-term prospects.
